I know what you’re thinking…”But it’s only October!”
Yes it is, but December will be here before we know it right?! And I want to be prepared ahead of time for this project! This year I have decided to participate in December Daily! This is a yearly scrapbook style challenge hosted by Ali Edwards. There are prompts that go along with each day to guide you in what to take pictures of and journal about. The original format includes a ring binder with photo pages where you would insert your photos for the day and include some journaling.
However, we all know how I feel about ring binders, right?! Not. A. Fan!
Well because I prefer to do things my way, I will be doing this a little different! I will be using a traveler’s notebook, of course, and making an insert, sort of junk journal style! I also will not follow any daily prompts. I’d rather just journal daily about whatever we did that day. I’m excited to make it and get started! Here’s a little sneak peek of what my theme will be:
I am still in the planning stages and gathering things from my personal stash to use. My goal is to use what I have, however, I may have to purchase a few things because I don’t really have many Christmas themed stickers and ephemera. But I will also be searching Pinterest for freebies I can use. I do have plenty of Christmas washi tape and stamps so making my own ephemera is also an option!
I already have one of the red traveler’s notebooks from Michael’s from a while back so I will be using that to hold my insert! Once I have the insert complete I will share it! I will also share my traveler’s notebook setup and my pages along the way! My inspiration came from this video by Johanna Clough on YouTube! You can search “December Daily” on Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube for more ideas!
Will you be doing December Daily this year? Let me know in the comments below! I’d love to see yours as well!
